With the season on the line, the LA Rams need to get off to a hot start tonight.
The Los Angeles Rams (7-5) host the Seattle Seahawks (10-2) in a prime time matchup at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Sunday Night Football in Week 14 — a game that has massive playoff implications for both teams.
A Rams’ loss today wouldn’t entirely crush their postseason aspirations but, in all likelihood, it should put fans hopes of a playoff berth to rest. The Green Bay Packers (10-3) and Minnesota Vikings (9-4), who currently hold one of two wild cart spots, both won their respective games today.
The San Francisco 49ers (11-2), who lost their spot atop the NFC West in defeat to the Baltimore Ravens last week, suddenly found themselves in a wild card position heading into this week. That was until today, when they defeated the New Orleans Saints (10-3) on the road in a 48-46 shootout in the Bayou.
So let’s face the facts here. Regardless of what happened in the NFC — West division or otherwise — the Rams need to win.
We’ll check in again at halftime. Here’s to hoping we’re discussing a size-able lead at that point.
