Mike Klis joined BCT and discussed the impact of Drew Lock on the Broncos.
When Drew Lock finally took over as the Broncos starting QB expectations were fairly low. After just two games the story has shifted. Expectations are soaring, and the match up against the Chiefs is the most anticipated game of the season.
Mike Klis joined Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Allbright on Broncos Country Tonight on KOA to discuss Lock’s impact on the team, and the fan base.
Broncos Country is excited about Lock’s prospects, and there doesn’t seem to be the same trepidation with him as with other QBs who have played in the post Peyton Manning era. Lock is young, confident, and has all the physical tools to become a good QB in the NFL. The Chiefs game will be a good test for him.
The game itself will be an opportunity for the Broncos to get the monkey off their back, having lost eight straight to the Chiefs. If Lock can find a way to lead the Broncos to a victory it will cement his status for many in Broncos Country. Never mind that he needs to read plays off a wrist band.
