Few teams in the NFL seem to have packed it in worse than the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers were dominated by the Indianapolis Colts in a 38-6 loss on Sunday for their seventh straight defeat. They’ve now gone 0-3 since head coach Ron Rivera was fired and are 5-10 on the season. After the game, veteran tight end Greg Olsen had some harsh comments about the state of the organization. He said the way things are going and the way the team is finishing the season is part of a “collective failure” and “organizational failure.” Olsen, who is 34 and a 13-year NFL veteran, sounds confused about the direction of the organization. The team looks like they are getting ready to rebuild and change directions, which is why they got rid of Rivera, and why there are rumors that QB Cam Newton is done in Carolina. The Panthers tried Kyle Allen at quarterback and went with Will Grier on Sunday. Being in the middle of this transition must be alienating for the players, which seems to be the message Olsen is conveying.
