But they were the only ones
The Minnesota Vikings released their first injury report of the week on Thursday, and the team appears to be pretty healthy at every position.
Well, except for running back, but we’ve been over that already.
Here is the full report from the first practice of the week.
Did Not Practice
- RB Dalvin Cook (chest)
- RB Alexander Mattison (ankle)
Limited Participation
- None
Full Participation
- DT Linval Joseph (knee)
- S Jayron Kearse (toe)
- CB Xavier Rhodes (ankle)
- DT Shamar Stephen (knee)
A week after coming back from his hamstring issues, wide receiver Adam Thielen is not listed on the report at all, which is pretty nice.
The issues with Cook and Mattison place Mike Boone at the top of the running back depth chart for the time being. Boone put in some pretty solid work after Cook was injured in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and might be expected to carry almost the entire load on Monday. The team does have a running back on the practice squad in undrafted rookie Tony Brooks-James. . .a signing that I, quite honestly, completely missed. . .and we’ll have to see if he gets bumped up to the active roster as we get closer to game day.
Other than the top two running backs, though, it’s a pretty clean injury report for the Vikings, and that’s the best you can hope for at this point in the season, isn’t it?
