How can you track all of the action on Sunday afternoon?
If you’re going to be in the New Orleans area on Sunday and you haven’t gotten tickets to the big game yet, you’re in luck! You can get them through our friends at StubHub! There’s still plenty of time, so if you want to see the game, jump on it now.
We’re getting ever closer to game time in New Orleans, ladies and gentlemen, as your Minnesota Vikings hit the road to take on the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card round of the 2019 NFC playoffs. Most folks aren’t giving the Vikings much of a chance in this one, but there are definitely stranger things that have happened in the history of the league, so there’s no reason to not watch or listen to the happenings at the Superdome.
So, how can you do that?
Television Info
Kickoff for this game is scheduled for the greatest of all possible NFL kickoff times. . .particularly for the Vikings. . .that being noon Central time on Sunday afternoon. This game will be carried on the FOX family of networks, and the play-by-play will be handled by Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, who I expect will ignore the Vikings completely.
Map? There’s no map for this one. It’s literally going to be the only game on. Just turn on FOX and it will be there, I promise.
Fans in the United Kingdom will be able to see this one live on Sky Sports Action. Kickoff for this one is slated for 6:00 PM UK time.
For our men and women in uniform overseason, the American Forces Network will be showing this one live on AFN Sports. Kickoff will take place at 1800Z. That means you’re looking at a 1900L start time if you’re in Central Europe, 2230L for our fans in Afghanistan, and 0300L on Monday morning for everyone in Japan and Korea. There will also be a replay that starts at 0800Z on Monday morning if you’re not able to see the live viewing (or if you just want to watch it again).
Radio Info
If you’re going to be traveling, if you simply prefer radio to television, or if you’d like to try to sync the radio feed up with the television broadcast, you can find a Vikings Radio Network affiliate in your area. Just click on the link to find the full list of partners across the Midwest.
If you’re using satellite radio, you’ll be able to find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on Sirius Channel 82 or XM Channel 226. There will also be a more “neutral” broadcast courtesy of Westwood One, and you can find that on SiriusXM NFL Radio, which is Channel 88 on both dials. If you’re using the SiriusXM Online App, the Vikings’ permanent home there is Channel 819.
Referee Info
According to the folks at Football Zebras, your officiating crew for this Sunday’s game will be led by Carl Cheffers. This will be the second time the Vikings have seen Cheffers this year, as his original crew handled the Vikings’ Thursday Night Football victory over the Washington Redskins back in Week 8.
Weather Info
Obviously, the weather won’t be affecting the play on the field in this one, as the game will take place indoors. If you’re going to be in the area for the game, at least the weather will be nice, according to our friends at WeatherNation. It will be sunny in New Orleans all day on Sunday, with high temperatures getting up into the low 60s with a very light breeze.
