Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers: ALL THE COVERAGE~!

NFL: NFC Wild Card-Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

How can you follow along with Saturday’s action?

Once again, we are putting our viewing/listening information post out a bit early to give people an opportunity to snag some tickets to this one from our friends at StubHub. If you want to watch the purple live on their quest to reach Super Bowl LIV, it isn’t too late! Just hit the link there and grab your seats!

We are less than 48 hours away from kickoff between the Minnesota Vikings and the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, as we hit the Divisional Round of the 2019 NFC Playoffs. A win will mean that the Vikings will get a third straight road playoff game and an opportunity to advance to Super Bowl LIV. A loss. . .well, we know what that means, and we’d rather not see it quite yet.

So, how can you follow along with all of the action on Saturday afternoon?

Television Info

This is the first of four playoff games on Divisional Weekend, which means that it’s in an earlier spot on Saturday. That means that kickoff is scheduled for 3:35 PM Central time, which is a bit later than we’re used to. This game will be broadcast on NBC, which is KARE-11 in the Twin Cities, and your play-by-play will be handled by Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth.

Once again, no map for this one, as this will be the only game in town and it will be on NBC, which pretty much everyone has.

Viewers in the United Kingdom will be able to see this one on Sky Sports Action. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:35 PM UK time.

For our men and women in uniform serving overseas, the American Forces Network will be showing this one live. . .because there really isn’t a way to ignore the Vikings this time. . .on AFN Sports. Coverage is scheduled to start at 2130Z on Sunday, which works out to 2230L in Central Europe, 0200L on Sunday morning for fans in Afghanistan, and 0630L on Sunday morning for viewers in Japan and Korea.

Radio Info

If you’re going to be traveling, if you simply prefer radio to television, or if you’d like to try to sync the radio feed up with the television broadcast, you can find a Vikings Radio Network affiliate in your area. Just click on the link to find the full list of partners across the Midwest.

If you’re using satellite radio, you’ll be able to find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on Sirius Channel 82 or XM Channel 226. There will also be a more “neutral” broadcast courtesy of Westwood One, and you can find that on SiriusXM NFL Radio, which is Channel 88 on both dials. If you’re using the SiriusXM Online App, the Vikings’ permanent home there is Channel 819.

Referee Info

According to Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this Saturday’s game will be led by Walt Anderson. These crews during the postseason are “all-star” crews, made up of various members of different crews that graded out well throughout the season. This will be the second time this year the Vikings have seen Walt Anderson, as he led the crew that called the Vikings’ 20-7 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 14.

Weather Info

This will be the first time the Vikings have played outdoors since their win over the Chargers in Week 15, and it looks like it should be a pretty nice day for football according to our friends at WeatherNation. There might be some early morning rain showers, but by the time we get to kickoff the temperatures should be in the mid-50s under partly cloudy skies. There might be a bit of a breeze out of the northwest, with winds coming in between 10-15 miles/hour.

Streaming Info

With this game being played on NBC, there will be a stream available on the NBC Sports website. Your primary streaming option is going to be Fubo.tv. They provide over 100 channels of live, streaming sports. They also have a free seven-day trial so that you can check out the service for yourself.

The other legal streaming alternative is NFL GamePass.

As always, we won’t be tolerating links to illegal streaming sites here at The Daily Norseman. Don’t post them or even hint at them. If you want an illegal stream that badly, do the search for it yourself. . .somewhere else.

That should be all of the pertinent information you need to follow along with all of the action on Saturday when the Vikings and 49ers battle for a spot in the NFC Championship Game. As usual, we’ll have our Open Thread for the first quarter up and running approximately an hour before kickoff, and we hope to see a bunch of folks here for it!
