After parting ways Mike Groh on Thursday, two candidates have already emerged to become the Philadelphia Eagles' newest offensive coordinator. According to ESPN’s Tim McManus, former Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell and former Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell are among the candidates for the new opening in Philadelphia. Caldwell, who was was hired by the Miami Dolphins on Feb. 8 to serve as the Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach and assistant head coach in February, stepped away from coaching months later due to health issues before the season. Now with his health issues behind him, the 64-year-old represents an appealing option to the Eagles. Caldwell has worked extensively with quarterbacks throughout his coaching career, including Matthew Stafford and Peyton Manning.
