Saints FB Zach Line has announced that he is hanging it up. A nagging knee injury prevented him in playing in the last 3 games for the Saints.
Zach Line was originally signed by the Vikings as an UDFA in 2013 staying on the team for his first four seasons. He joined the New Orleans Saints in 2017, playing both on offense and special teams.
Line was due to be a free agent in March and I expect the Saints intended to resign him, but he announced he was retiring on Instagram today, 1-15-20. The Saints have always valued the FB position under coach Sean Payton, and it will be interesting to see what direction they take here, either in free agency or the draft.

In my opinion, the Saints rushing game suffered significantly without Line there to block for it. Good luck in your future endeavors Zach and thanks!
