Encouraging #Redskins news: @RickDocWalker just got off the phone with Quinton Dunbar, who said that he isn't requesting to be traded or released; just wants to know where he stands. Also said that he is set to meet with Ron Rivera on Thursday. So this appears to be salvageable.

Let's start a #2020NFLDraft TE Blocking Thread
— Ben Fennell (@BenFennell_NFL) February 13, 2020
We all get excited to watch these Flex TEs (or oversized WRs) catch a ball down the seam, but no one cares about blocking a DE at the POA until @gkittle46 makes it cool
I usually just watch the endzone copy of all-22 when studying OL. However, I have to watch the SL copy when studying Louisville LT Mekhi Becton because he keeps blocking defenders off the screen.
— Daniel Jeremiah (@MoveTheSticks) February 13, 2020
This happens every year. I circle back and watch a guy I evaluated/graded early in the process and see a completely different player. As an old scout used to say in our meetings, "You must've had some bad coffee that day."

1: He’s better, based on people who scouted both have told me. 2: we can all find examples of guys who succeeded or failed. Using 1 example doesn’t do much. Nick bosa had hype. Delivered. I would take based on what u think he will do, not what someone unrelated did or didn’t

Draft Cost vs Cap Space
— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) February 14, 2020
Top right: Should be active in FA and have a good draft class
Bottom right: Probably needs to rely on the draft
Top left: Probably needs to rely on free agency more than draft
Bottom left: Hardest path to improve. Cap likely devoted to draft picks. pic.twitter.com/QS3rUio6pN

The Offseason of the Quarterback is here. So I asked 15 front-office types -- if you were in charge of an average team, and you could have any of the available QBs, who would you take? Brady? Burrow? Rivers? Tua?

— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) February 13, 2020
Trading Matthew Stafford would leave behind $32M of dead cap to the #Lions, a loss of $10.7M of space. Detroit has already restructured and paid out a $6M bonus for the season. He’s staying put in 2020. https://t.co/4DC96J5p2k

And the #Browns continue to put back together the exact same front office that they had in 2017 when the team went 0-16. New/current execs DePodesta, Berry, Grigson, Cooper, and Kovash represent 5 of the 6 top ranking execs from 2017. Sashi Brown is the only exec missing now. https://t.co/ERNgCJl5tk

One difference this year is they are at a stage with the CBA where they are either going to have to spend or pay out more to guys who have been on the team over the course of the last 4 years.

The Astros owner speculates that the team stopped cheating in early 2018 and didn't cheat at all in 2019.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) February 13, 2020
Why would you stop cheating after it helped you win World Series? Also, why would the Nats have been told to come up with an elaborate sign scheme if they weren't cheating?
Jim Crane keeps saying "I didn't do the investigation" and says he "isn't clear on all the details."
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) February 13, 2020
How are you not? You're the owner. How have you not spent the last couple months getting all those details and doing your own investigation?
If the players who were on the team in 2017-19 don't take several minutes of questions today it will be a disgrace. If they just refer to their statement or offer no comment responses it will be an outrage.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) February 13, 2020
The Astros are trying to pull the 'let's just leave this in the past and look ahead to 2020.'

Jose Altuve: 30 second statement, no questions.
Dusty Baker, on his first day on the job: Sitting there the entire time.
Astros owner Jim Crane: "Our opinion is this didn't impact the game. We had a good team. We won the World Series. We'll leave it at that."
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) February 13, 2020
Are. You. Kidding. Me...
What an amazing opinion. This is like the people who say taking steroids to get bigger, faster and stronger don’t cause more HRs. If it doesn’t help, why are you cheating? https://t.co/4jbqy27jPQ
