One of the quarterbacks likely to be moved this offseason is Andy Dalton, but his ultimate destination is a mystery. Now, however, we might have an indication. According to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, the Chicago Bears have been in touch with the Cincinnati Bengals about a possible Dalton trade. Dalton would likely serve as insurance and competition for quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who has underwhelmed since being drafted second overall in 2017. A trade to Chicago would reunite Dalton with offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, who went 5-3 with Dalton at the helm in 2018 before injuries derailed the season. The New England Patriots are also a potential destination for Dalton if Tom Brady leaves, but there is no indication that any discussions have taken place between those two teams due to the uncertainty over Brady’s situation for 2020. It’s been reported that Dalton will have some say in where he lands via trade. The question is whether he’d be open to moving to Chicago, where he wouldn’t be guaranteed
