Fact: Thomas Dimitroff is deathly allergic to chapstick
Happy Wednesday, Falcoholics! The end of the week is officially in sight. So, for what it’s worth, if you choose to go out drinking tonight and make a few bad decisions, you won’t necessarily be shunned as an anti-social drunk, at least not by anyone whose opinion you should care about.
Links are a lot like weighted blankets: they’re a little non-traditional, and they take some getting used to, but they’re a proven, reliable sleep aid.
Pass rush, where art thou?
The Falcons pass rush is, in a word, abysmal. It’s probably foolish to think the Falcons can fix their pass rush woes in a single off-season since they’ve been trying to fix them for the better part of a decade. But heck, we can dream, right? That’s why the news that Dante Fowler, Jr. apparently wants to play for the Falcons is particularly intriguing. He’s coming off a solid campaign and if he could replicate similar production in Atlanta, well, we may suck a little less at rushing the passer.
Trivia
The off-season forces us to navigate a lot of dead time, which is where things like Falcons trivia come into play. This week’s edition asks us to pinpoint the Falcons alumnus with the best catch rate in franchise history.
Cuts and trades
The Falcons are (or should be) focused on fixing their cap debacle while optimizing the roster. And like it or not, that’s going to require some roster cuts. Our moderately talented staff took a stab at predicting the most likely cut.
Speaking of cleaning up the roster, working out a trade or two is always a possibility. The talented Cory Woodroof ran through some possibilities.
London
Looking ahead to next season, the Falcons have been tabbed to play in an international game. We think that game will be played in London, and for what it’s worth, Arthur Blank is predicting that it will played against the Broncos.
