Falcoholinks: All the Falcons news you need for Tuesday, Feb. 18

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Atlanta Falcons Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Fact: Grady Jarrett grew his first mustache when he was 8

Happy Tuesday, Falcoholics! Welcome to our little corner of the internet. There’s fresh popcorn over there and we have cold beer on tap. That’s ... not true. My mom won’t me keep a working popcorn machine in the basement, and I’m not allowed to drink in the house. Will you still be my friend?

Our links are organic and freshly picked. You may want to bring some salt or hot sauce to sprinkle on top, but the underlying content is ... palatable.

The Falcoholic himself addressed a question the team will have to answer before the end of August: Does this team need to carry a fullback on the 53-man roster? Truth be told, they probably will, if only to keep Dirk Koetter from ever introducing novel concepts notwithstanding objectively mediocre job performance.

Taking a trip down memory lane, the Falcons have halfheartedly attempted to add a dynamic, long-term solution at defensive end for the last decade plus. That shouldn’t detract from the seasons these Falcons alums turned in over the life of the franchise.

As the Falcons gear up for the draft, I’d be legitimately shocked if they aren’t strongly considering the defensive tackle prospects that will available when the 16th overall pick rolls around. So it’s an apt time to take a look back at the defensive tackles that’ve been drafted under the current regime. Spoiler alert: Outside of Grady Jarrett as an absolute steal in the 5th round in 2015, it ain’t pretty.
