Straight from the man himself.

The Cincinnati Bengals have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Even before the season finale, they had the spot locked up, winning just one game prior to their Week 17 victory over Cleveland.

That said, all eyes turned to the 2020 NFL Draft early on in the season, looking forward to April 23. That’s the day that fans are hoping will turn the Bengals franchise around. But, does the team’s future franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow, want to be in Cincinnati?

As it currently stands, Burrow is atop most big boards. Winning a national championship at LSU, Burrow has one of the best college football seasons of all time, claiming a Heisman trophy in his route to complete dominance at the amateur level.

He threw 60 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. With over 5,600 yards, can he take that type of success to the next level? Most analysts think he he can, one reason why he’s the projected top-overall pick.

But, does Burrow want to be in Cincinnati?

Just a few hours from where he grew up in the Plains, rumors were sprouting that Burrow may be unhappy if he’s selected at No. 1. Let’s just say his dad shut those down quickly in a text with FOX 19’s Jeremy Rauch.

Burrow is too good to pass up on, and being from Ohio, there’s no reason he shouldn’t be fine with playing Cincinnati. A winner at the core, Cincinnati will have to show him their committed to keep him in the Queen City.

For now, let’s be hopefully that Burrow, along with the elite talent in Cincinnati, will be able to turn the Bengals’ recent bad luck around.
