Matthew Stafford’s wife blasts Lions, hints at move to the Chargers

Rumors have persisted the past couple weeks that the Detroit Lions have quietly engaged in trade talks surrounding franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford. While the Lions have denied the rumors, Stafford’s wife, Kelly, was on Instagram blasting the team and hinting at her husband playing for the Los Angeles Chargers. That’s some rather interesting stuff from Mrs. Stafford. She obviously caught wind of the reports and is not happy about the Lions reportedly looking to move on from their longtime starter. Stafford, 32, missed the final half of last season with a back injury. He has been in Detroit since being selected No. 1 overall in 2009 and holds the franchise records in passing yards and passing touchdowns, and it’s not that close. Selecting No. 3 overall in this year's draft, there’s a good chance Detroit could land one of the top quarterbacks in the class.
