Post Monday Open Thread
Good Morning!
While Gone Fishin continues his vacation from Hoth, you’ll be getting the backup thread poster while he’s gone; not unlike QB2 it’s a good job if you can get it. I told mrs_rob about the planned week long Johnny Cash media selections; her request was “Hurt” so we’re going with that for today. Today is still Monday for me but I finally have some days off on the horizon. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and at least it’s not Monday, but it is for me.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Ted continues his Should I Stay Or Should I Go Series. This edition features Anthony Harris.
Norse Code Podcast Episode 318: The Joys of Collective Bargaining. Arif and James are back to talk about Everson Griffen, the highlights of the CBA negotiation, and a quick recap of the XFL action of the day.

We come to today’s media selection: Johnny Cash - Hurt
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waiter, and Welcome Aboard!
