Good morning, Gang Green Nation! It seems to be a foregone conclusion in some circles that Robby Anderson will not be re-signing with the Jets. Things don’t always work out the way off season rumors suggest, but if Anderson walks and the Jets don’t receive a compensatory draft pick for him, which seems likely given how much the Jets are likely to have to spend on free agents this year, not trading Anderson at the trade deadline last year will go down as a mistake for Jets GM Joe Douglas. If Anderson does not return, it will be interesting to see how Douglas approaches the receiver group, given that the only remaining legitimate receiver on the team would be Jamison Crowder. The next few months will be interesting times for the Jets.
