As the New England Patriots descend upon Indianapolis to scout the next wave of NFL talent, the team is also reportedly set to meet with Tom Brady’s agent to begin contract discussions this week. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, New England will meet with Brady’s agent, Don Yee, in Indianapolis and begin to gauge where both sides are at regarding the future and a potential deal. “It should be the starting off point for real dialogue. Nothing is expected to happen until right up in the cusp of free agency.” Rapoport said, via NFL Network. “At that point, all sides should know what Brady’s plans are.” The Patriots haven’t discussed a potential contract with Brady for a while. Now with Bill Belichick and the rest of the NFL world in Indianapolis, both sides can start to see if a reunion is possible. Belichick will be running the team’s negotiations with Brady as owner Robert Kraft has given the future Hall of Fame coach the authority to make the ultimate decision.
