2020 NFL Draft: Bills FaceTime with G Damien Lewis, DT Raequan Williams

Virtual visits from prospects continue

The recent COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent restrictions on NFL teams bringing in draft prospects to team facilities hasn’t stopped the Buffalo Bills from learning more about their potential targets. Following the chat with Denzel Mims, the team has now FaceTimed with prospects Damien Lewis and Raequan Williams.

Both players make sense as possible mid-round, depth options in the upcoming draft. Lewis is a former LSU Tiger that is the proverbial strong-as-an-ox power guard that always seems to come out of the SEC every year. Able to anchor well and push guys around in the run game, his feet are too slow to excel in every scheme. In the right fit though, he could become a starter fairly quickly.

Raequan Williams is a player in the similar athletic mold, except he’s on the other side of the ball. A key piece of Michigan State’s upper-echelon defense, the senior’s specialized in stopping the run with the help of his beefy upper body, and ability to penetrate the line. Unfortunately, any team that draft’s Williams shouldn’t expect him to develop into any kind of consistent pass rusher when necessary.
