The two met, It was their only meeting. The coach and player never spoke about contracts. Any reports suggesting otherwise false according to my sources. #redskins #trentwilliams
— Chick Hernandez (@MrChickSports) March 2, 2020
Not sure if this has been reported, but league sources have told me that they expect the Redskins to franchise tag Brandon Scherff and the Steelers to tag Bud Dupree.

would be a great addition https://t.co/Pm7QsWCKsT

Attorneys for the NFL and NFLPA met for 9 hours yesterday and are back in meetings again today, continuing to go over the proposed CBA before it's sent to players, I'm told. The final vote awaits.

Think you know everything about Coach Rivera?
— Washington Redskins (@Redskins) March 2, 2020
Take our quiz and find out ⤵️
Tua over last 2 yrs: dislocated & fractured right hip, right & left high-ankle sprains that each required surgery & right-knee sprain. No way would/should #Redskins take him at No. 2. #Skins/Tua talk is about maximizing trade value of pick, which I think they'll ultimately keep.
— Al Galdi (@AlGaldi) March 2, 2020
What the surgeries may prevent from happening or whether he gets clearance w/ the hip doesn't matter nearly as much as the reality that he's so injury-prone to begin w/. His body is such that he gets hurt. A lot. Not his fault. But I'm not spending a No. 2 pick on him.
— Al Galdi (@AlGaldi) March 2, 2020
Tua was Bama's starter for two seasons. He dealt with significant injury in both of those seasons. That's not recency bias.
— Al Galdi (@AlGaldi) March 2, 2020
Going to continue to remind myself (as I do every year) that QB’s are NOT finished products coming out of college. Where they get drafted, & how/by who they are coached, is more important & more of a determining factor of their success than any amount of tape/pre draft eval.
— Louis Riddick (@LRiddickESPN) March 2, 2020
Where do you think J. Goff’s career was headed before McVay arrived? Perfect example.
— Louis Riddick (@LRiddickESPN) March 2, 2020
After his true freshman season at PSU, on was chatting on HogsHaven with some of our "astute" fans. I said Saquon Barkley was the best college RB NOT names Leonard Fournette.
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) March 2, 2020
...I was called a Homer for that take
Shout out to Denzel Mims for blocking his ass off at every opportunity. He might not get a lot of credit for it because we get distracted by everything else he does well, but trust me coaches notice this effort.

Gruden and Mayock would love this dude to be on their team. pic.twitter.com/A80WPlk4Kv
Based on sources and buzz there's now approximately 28 NFL Draft prospects getting selected in the top 10. So, that's cool.

The #Panthers have shopped five-time Pro Bowl G Trai Turner, per @JennaLaineESPN. Just 26 years old...

LAC expected to franchise tag Hunter Henry https://t.co/cytLHYEBn9
— Rotoworld Football (@Rotoworld_FB) March 2, 2020
Jacksonville Jaguars will use their franchise tag on pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue, per league sources. The tag will allow them to try to trade him if that’s what they decide or are forced to do.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 2, 2020
This will be interesting. The #Jaguars plan to franchise tag their pass-rusher and have him play for them in 2020. https://t.co/1MiPaPuZpS
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 2, 2020
Fuckin right I would trade for Yannick..
— Redskins Rant (@RedskinsRant) March 2, 2020
What you expect me to say? It’s just sit back on our hands and do nothing
Get the best players available. Pay em. Trade for em. Draft em. Poach other teams practice squads. Idgaf how you get em....
GET MORE STUDS. PERIOD pic.twitter.com/rfH1uSmUoI
Good morning to everyone except whomever decided to franchise tag Ngakoue....
— Redskins Rant (@RedskinsRant) March 2, 2020
I hope whoever they are stubs their big toe on both feet
Franchising Yannick will eat up what little cap space the #Jaguars have. They will have to sit out free agency. Yannick will hold out. Teams will wait them out. They'll end up doing some Clowney deal for a 3rd round pick, go 5-11 this year, still be capped up in 2021.
— Mike Tanier (@MikeTanier) March 2, 2020
Ngakoue would add another big name to a spicy trade market:

Hurst
Foles
Carr?
Woods?

VP of Player Personnel Kyle Smith talked with Larry Michael at the Combine about the core players, his new role and more. pic.twitter.com/WP7tFR5a9S
The NFL draft is a stock market. Events like the combine won't change who the player is, but it will change their perception in a market.

He could’ve bought the Louisiana Purchase twelve times if he was broadcasting in 1803 because that’s how inflation works

You're living in fantasy land if you think Daron can be a two way player in the NFL. There's already enough demand on the body just playing one position being out there for 50+ snaps a game.
