From @john_keim on ESPN...@kevinsheehanDC has said #Redskins won’t resign Flowers, but why would they NOT sign him for $6-9m?? Regardless of what you pay Scherff, $6-9m is more than reasonable for a possibly ascending player at a limited position in the NFL. Lock both of them up.

Haskins update here : Multiple people within the #Redskins are impressed with how much Haskins has been in the building and with how much he is interacting with teammates, and the locker room is beginning to take notice of this, per @john_keim.

Alex Smith is likely to be offered a role in the #Redskins front office in 2021, per @john_keim. Smith is the new “Bruce Allen” in the sense that he’s Dan’s buddy. Snyder wants to keep Alex Smith with the team through his recovery because he feels he owes it to him.
— Redskinstoday (@redskinstoday_) March 4, 2020
yeah. what I know is that he and Dan have a really good relationship. Whether or not he'll want to stick around? Who knows. But I can see Dan wanting him to -- after Alex decides he's done. Smart dude.
— John Keim (@john_keim) March 4, 2020
From Gregg Rosenthal: re: the Skins trading him
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) March 4, 2020
"A pick that valuable and a market-setting contract could be too rich for someone like Williams with a long history of back injuries"
I think Mr. Rosenthal has Trent mixed up with Tyron Smith
Multiple Alabama #Redskins have been openly recruiting WR Amari Cooper to the team, and the expectation around the league is that the Redskins will have some real interest in pursuing him, per @john_keim.
— Redskinstoday (@redskinstoday_) March 4, 2020
Joe Theismann on #GrantAndDanny right now says drafting Tua at No. 2 makes no sense for the #Redskins.
— Grant Paulsen (@granthpaulsen) March 4, 2020
"Chase Young will be the choice at No. 2. Anybody other than him would be a mistake for our football team."
Fabian Moreau is a wildcard to look out for in 2020. Was horrible in the slot but when moved outside he finished the season strong. 100+ passer rating allowed in the slot, 40 passer rating allowed in the final two weeks when on the outside, 3 INTs as well.
— Redskinstoday (@redskinstoday_) March 4, 2020
Well, Kyle Smith did say free agency will not affect our draft - IDK if I believe that or not...but he did say it
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) March 5, 2020
OT Jared Veldheer, who came out of retirement last year to finish the season with the Packers, plans to play this season, per source. Multiple teams inquired about him at the combine and were told he wants to play again this season, per source. Veldheer is a free agent.

Here is the trade that tentatively has been agreed to: pic.twitter.com/rnLDsTK4Qp
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 4, 2020
A rare player-for-player trade of top-flight linemen. Carolina gets a quality LT like they’ve wanted for years, LAC gets a Pro Bowler in the middle of their line. https://t.co/TZF376JUxm
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 4, 2020
Jonathan Jones just confirmed no picks are involved in the trade. Straight swap of Turner for Okung
— Bill Riccette (@Bill_Riccette) March 4, 2020
One more reason why Carolina wants OT Russell Okung: Panthers OL coach Pat Meyer worked for the Chargers from 2017-2019, and he has been pushing Carolina to trade for his former left tackle.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 4, 2020
Have to wonder if Ron Rivera tried dealing for his former Pro Bowl guard. Not just the familiarity with Trai Turner but Washington's two starting guards are free agents.

Just mentioned on @nflnetwork: Source says CB Mackensie Alexander was recently cleared to resume football activities by Dr. James Andrews, who trimmed his meniscus in January. A talented nickel, Alexander missed the #Vikings playoff run, but healthy now as free agency awaits.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) March 4, 2020
One potential play-maker hitting the market: #Packers TE Jimmy Graham is not expected back in Green Bay, sources say. The move with the 33-year old former free agent signing is noteable, though not a surprise for anyone involved.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 4, 2020
Interesting re: Jimmy Graham news. The Saints have shown a penchant for bringing back ex-Saints for second stints late their careers: Robert Meachem, Ben Watson, Patrick Robinson, Chase Daniel, etc. Could Graham be next?
— Jeff Duncan (@JeffDuncan_) March 4, 2020
yeah it's not particularly close either. Bradbury is a good solid corner, Jones is a very good-to-great corner.
