Very few were talking about smallish former Utah Utes cornerback Javelin Guidry heading into the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine this week. The 5-foot-9 Guidry is seen as a late-round prospect, at best. That might have changed with what we saw from the defensive back in Indianapolis on Sunday. Guidry ran a blazing 4.29 40-yard dash and put up 21 bench-press reps. In the process, he made combine history. We are always concerned that workout warriors simply don’t pan out when all is said and done. Despite this, Guidry‘s numbers are simply astonishing. He joins a couple of other under-the-radar players to stand out big-time in Indianapolis over the past several days. This could push Guidry to the mid rounds come April in Las Vegas.
