Fredbeard forever.

The Dallas Cowboys experienced a shockwave on Monday evening when center Travis Frederick announced his retirement after seven NFL seasons.

Frederick, affectionately known as Fredbeard to Cowboys fans, put together one of the more remarkable careers that any center has in team, and arguably NFL, history ever has. To say that the Cowboys are going to miss him is an incredible understatement.

Dallas played the 2018 season without Frederick while he battled Guillain-Barré syndrome off of the field. That experience is definitely something that the Cowboys are going to have to lean on, recently re-signed Joe Looney started in place of Frederick then and is obviously a likely option to do so again.

We will all miss seeing Travis Frederick play for the Dallas Cowboys and our friends at BreakingT have a new t-shirt out if you’re looking for a way to display your pride for the all-world center.
