Hello Niner’s Nation and welcome to another edition of the Saturday morning Nuggets!

Speculation is in full swing as we drift closer to the beginning of free agency in 12 days, followed by the NFL Draft in 48 days, and the question remains what will the 49ers do to improve on their already Super Bowl caliber roster?

Like many fans and members of the media I’m deep in the process of analyzing the 2020 class of draft prospects, as well as monitoring the list of potential free agents which continues to change on a daily basis.

But this time of year also brings an opportunity to evaluate the current roster - both the strengths and weaknesses - in an effort to determine which positions are most in need of replacement or repair.

Just a casual perusal of the internet and social media will quickly show that the opinions of 49ers fans are mostly similar when it comes to positions of need - wide receiver, cornerback, safety, and interior offensive line - but can vary greatly when asking what the single most area of need is on the current roster.

So I figured, why not take this opportunity to put it to a vote? Of course, as with anything in the offseason the situation is fluid and ever changing, but let’s just take a snapshot of what we think as of today and as always share your thoughts in the comments below!
