Nickelodeon is broadcasting an NFL playoff game?

The 2020 NFL season is going be wild, folks.

If it’s not cancelled by the coronavirus pandemic, the playoff expansion will see 14 teams in the postseason — increased from the 12-team format the league has seen since 1990.

Nickelodeon will also be hosting its own separate telecast specifically geared towards kids.

The NFL playoffs... on Nickelodeon.

Of course my first question is, who would be your favorite announcers booth made up entirely of Nickelodeon characters?

Ren and Stimpy would be fun. They have a very John Madden-Pat Summerall vibe going. And French Toast Man would be a hell of a sideline reporter.

Same with Rocko and Heffer, except Rocko would likely get the rules mixed up with Australian rules football.

Arnold and Gerald would be a solid pairing. Let Arnold engineer the announcers booth into a high-tech wonderland like his room.

Keenan and Kel would be outstanding. That’s actually the right answer. Sorry, everyone.
