Will another NFL club make a run at Taysom if a long-term deal isn’t in place when Free Agency opens?
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Saints will place a first-round tender on Restricted Free Agent Taysom Hill. This will allow the Saints to match any offers that are made to him by other NFL teams. However, the Saints could choose not to match and now receive a first-round pick in exchange for allowing Hill to be signed away.
Schefter also reported that New Orleans intends to reach a new agreement with Hill before Free Agency begins on March 18th. It will be an interesting contract to work out. If they do so, teams will not have the chance to offer.
But that will not stop us from having a little fun. If Hill and the Saints do not come to long-term agreement before Free Agency opens, do you think a team will make an offer? Vote in the poll below and elaborate in the comments. If you do not believe he will get an offer, tell us why. If you do think another team would try to sweep in, tell us who and why the would do it.
