The interest in Harris is heating up.
According to Calvin Watkins who covers the Dallas Cowboys for The Dallas News, he is reporting that sources told him that Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. met with “at least” 24 teams during this past weekends NFL Scouting Combine.

He also reports that the Dallas Cowboys who are likely to lose Byron Jones this offseason are among the teams interested in Harris’s services this offseason.
Denver Channel 7’s Troy Renck confirmed Watkins report that the Cowboys are interested in Harris and also named the Raiders, Jets, Texans and Lions as teams who are interested in Harris.

I personally do not see the Broncos re-signing Chris Harris Jr. this offseason. Those talks did not go very well last season and he has been subject to trade rumors a few times during that span as well. Add in his growing market and his comments about not being used properly this past season and I just do not see it happening.
However, it might be best for both parties to go their separate ways. I say this because Harris turns 31 years old this offseason and is likely looking to sign with a contender as well as get one final payday before he starts declining. Broncos could be a playoff team but they’re not willing to spend on Harris. Add in the scheme fit and usage concerns and it just makes sense for these two parties to go their separate ways.
I expect the Broncos to heavily pursue Byron Jones this offseason and potentially a Kendall Fuller, James Bradbury or a Darius Slay trade if they miss out on Jones. We even could see a veteran like Prince Amukamara signed to round out the group as well.
Either way, I think we are going to see a much different looking Broncos secondary next season. The “No Fly Zone” will likely officially die this offseason.
