Houston Texans offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil is recovering after undergoing shoulder surgery this offseason to repair a torn labrum, per The Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson. The Texans acquired Tunsil, along with receiver Kenny Stills, for two first-round and a second-round pick before the 2019 season. The 25-year-old immediately stepped in and became a pillar at left tackle for Houston’s offensive line, helping protect quarterback Deshaun Watson. Tunsil allowed just three sacks in 915 snaps this season, per Pro Football Focus, but committed a league-high 18 penalties. He earned a Pro Bowl selection for the first time in his career. He is reportedly expected to make a full recovery before training camp. Set to become a free agent following the 2020 season, Tunsil recently fired his agent and is seeking $20 million per season in a new contract extension with the Texans.
