The next free agency move that we’ve all been waiting for is here! The Titans are signing former Falcons defensive lineman Jack Crawford according to his agency.

OK, so maybe this isn’t the big move everyone was hoping for, but it is movement.
Crawford is a 31 year old journeyman with 93 career appearances spanning stops with the Raiders, Cowboys, and Falcons. At 6’-5” and 288 pounds, he profiles as more of a 4/5-tech in the Titans 3-4 base defense with good length and adequate athleticism.
My guess is that this is likely a one year contract at or near the veteran minimum so nothing to get too worked up over. Crawford may or may not even make the final roster, but he at least brings some experience to the defensive line group behind starters Jeffery Simmons and DaQuan Jones.
He had his best season as a starter for the Falcons in 2018, when he recorded 6 sacks and 7 tackles for loss, but he’s never been a big time sack producer outside of that season.
The Titans are now up to 60 players under contract by my count. They’ll be at 90 by the end of next month so there are plenty more additions coming.
