Not going to happen.

A wild new mock draft from former Jacksonville Jaguars running back and now NFL Network analyst Maurice Jones-Drew has the Cincinnati Bengals taking someone different than Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Jones-Drew projects the Bengals will pass on Burrow and take Oregon Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert instead.

He called Herbert a “An AFC North-style quarterback with a big frame and strong arm to lead the Bengals in bad weather late in the season.”

Herbert had a stellar college career at Oregon as he led the Ducks to three bowl games, including a victory in the 2020 Rose Bowl. He also led the Ducks to a Pac 12 Championship in 2019 as a senior after passing for 3,130 yards and 37 touchdowns with 543 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

While he projects to be a top 10 pick, the Bengals are almost surely going to take Burrow, who won the Heisman Trophy while leading the LSU Tigers to a perfect 2019 season that saw them win the National Championship for the first time since 2007.

Plus, it’s not likely to weather will be the main factor in who the Bengals choose to be their franchise quarterback.

Here’s a look at Jones-Drew’s projected top 10 where Burrow barley makes the top five.

  1. Cincinnati Bengals: Justin Herbert, QB Oregon Ducks
  2. Los Angels Chargers (VIA Trade with WAS): Tua Tagovailoa, QB Alabama Crimson Tide
  3. New York Giants (VIA Trade with DET): Chase Young, EDGE Ohio State Buckeyes
  4. Detroit Lions (VIA Trade with NYG): Derrick Brown, DT, Alabama
  5. Miami Dolphins: Joe Burrow, QB LSU
  6. Washington Redskins (VIA Trade with DET): Isaiah Simmons, LB/S Clemson Tigers
  7. Jacksonville Jaguars (VIA Trade with CAR): Jeff Okudah, CB Ohio State
  8. Arizona Cardinals: Jedrick Wills Jr., OT Alabama Crimson Tide
  9. Carolina Panthers (VIA Trade with JAX): Javon Kinlaw, DT South Carolina Gamecocks
  10. Cleveland Browns: Tristan Wirfs, OT Iowa Hawkeyes
