Happy Monday, everyone!
I get that everyone isn’t happy, but I’ll wish y’all a happy Monday, anyway. Why? Because it’s Monday, which is one of the greatest days of the work week, and although our work weeks are temporarily............altered, I think we should still take time to be thankful for the little things that make our life happy. Things like Mondays. I hope y’all are doing as well as you can out there, stay strong, stay safe, and try to help others when you can.
Friday wasn’t good, folks. The Political discussion will stop. Actually, they have stopped, you just don’t know it yet. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
So, I’m sure you all noticed that comments were closed on Friday’s thread, and that there was no weekend thread, and hopefully, you saw Chris’ message that he posted on Friday’s front page after the comments were closed. If not, I’m going to copy and paste it below, because he says it as well as it can be said. Let me say this very simply, THERE WILL BE NO DISCUSSING *#$%ing politics on the thread, or any other type of politics, for that matter. I don’t care how strongly you feel about what’s going on, there will be ZERO political discussions on here. None.
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, but some shots aren’t worth making, because they don’t result in a goal, touchdown, or home run, they result in Sergeant Hulka with the big toe seeing how far he can stick it up the commenter’s........you know (see today’s media selection if you don’t understand the reference. Also, if you don’t understand the reference, you should go find the movie Stripes and watch it......... immediately.....twice).

For as long as there have been Open Threads on this site, one of the primary rules has been no politics. There are, quite literally, approximately 83 billion other websites on the internet that you can use to discuss political matters. This site is not among them.
This site is here to talk about Minnesota Vikings football and, given the current environment, to give people a break from stupid, politically-motivated garbage. It will continue to be used for those purposes. Some people have had to receive numerous warnings about posting politically-motivated garbage in the Open Threads and are still here posting.
No more.
Posting political commentary in the Open Threads is now grounds for a permanent ban. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here. I don’t care if you have 10 comments, or 100 comments, or 1,000 comments, or 10,000 comments, or 100,000 comments. Posting political crap here = pack your bags and go. Rob and Brad agreed some time ago to be the primary moderators of the Open Threads, and if they kick someone out for this sort of garbage, I trust their judgement 100%.
If we’re going to continue having Open Threads on this site every day, the crap stops now, and it stops permanently. The moderators have neither the time nor the inclination to keep warning people to follow the rules, particularly when they’re simply going to be ignored.
That all being said, I hope every one of you gets it and stays here, because I love the community here, and I enjoy hearing from all of you commenters, I truly hate it when we have to ban someone. Nearly every ban I’ve placed has been done so with the wish that I didn’t have to, but when you’re left with no choice.........well, like Yogi Berra once said, “when you come to a fork in the road, take it”.

Pro Day cancellations are forcing changes to teams’ approach to the NFL Draft, from the AP.
From NFL.com, Hall of Famer Bobby Mitchell died at the age of 84. Mitchell was a trailblazer as Washington’s first African-American player. In his 11-year career, he earned four Pro Bowl selections, including three first-team and two second-team All Pro selections.
From ESPN, Rob Gronkowski can add WWE 24/7 Champion to his list of accomplishments. He’s a perfect fit for pro wrestling, IMO.
