Minnesota Vikings News and Links: April 8, 2020

Minneapolis, MN 10/3/99 Vikings vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Corey Miller celebrates after intercepting a Tampa pass late in the fourth quarter, as Tampa was getting close their goal in an effort to tie the game. The Vikings won, 21-14.

We’ve reached the mid-way point of another NFL off-season, social-distancing work week

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

We’re half-way to the weekend, so it’s all downhill from here, you can make it! You know, although I wish this whole pandemic thing wasn’t going on, I do enjoy the extra time I get to spend around the family, that is one change that has been enjoyable.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

From Chris, the 2020 NFL Draft will be done virtually.

MarkSP18 posted Vikings Mock v4.7.

Ted posted Ted Mock 3.0: The Mock Ultimatum.

Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:

Yannick Ngakoue made an appearance on NFL Live to explain what went wrong in Jacksonville.

Michael Brockers is grateful to be back with the Rams after his deal with the Ravens fell through, from FoxSports. That would kinda’ suck, it would be like quitting your job to take a better position, but then you have to come back an hour later and ask if you can un-quit.

We come to today’s media selection:

Okay, sticking with some older tunes, here’s one from Elton John called “Hold me closer, Tony Danza”. Enjoy!

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, and try staying home unless you really need to go out.
