The draft is over, now we wait until.......?
Happy Monday, everyone!
Well, the draft FINALLY arrived.......and now it’s over, and now we have to wait for the next highlight of the NFL off-season. The problem with that is that we don’t know when the schedule will resume, so I guess that means we don’t really have to wait, which should make the off-season easier, because as Tom Petty said, the waiting is the hardest part.
Before we get to the Vikings draft, how many of you were caught by surprise when the Packers moved up in the FIRST to draft a quarterback? I’m guessing A-a-ron wasn’t very pleased, unless he knew their plans. If he didn’t, I’m guessing that move went over like a fart in church. Yikes.
I’m interested to hear everyone’s thoughts on this year’s Vikings draft picks. This may be the first year since Zimmer arrived that some people may hold the opinion that the Vikings didn’t draft a cornerback early enough, and that they didn’t draft enough cornerbacks. I’ll save my opinions for the comments, but I’m going to post a poll below to gauge the DN Open Thread’s opinion.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Chris is maintaining a 2020 Vikings undrafted free agent tracker where you can catch up on the latest signings by the purple and gold.
Wludford has a recap and notes on the 2020 Vikings draft.
Other Vikings/NFL news, and random oddities and annoyances:
ESPN has analysis on all 255 draft picks from this year’s draft. Someone was busy.
NFL.com has grades for all 32 NFL teams’ drafts.
We come to today’s media selection:
Since I mentioned this one earlier, I’ll go ahead and play it. Enjoy!
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Wipe the fish guts off of your hands before you touch your face, and try the finger food.
