Patriots pre-draft analysis: Scouting reports of New England’s potential targets

Related: Patriots pre-draft tracker: Keeping tabs on New England’s interviews, workouts and meetings

The New England Patriots had one of the oldest teams in the NFL the last few years, but are actively trying to rebuild their roster and get younger in the process — gone are, for example, long-time foundational talents such as quarterback Tom Brady, linebacker Kyle Van Noy, safety Duron Harmon and kicker Stephen Gostkowski. The best way to fill their roles while also remaining financially responsible is, of course, the draft.

New England headed into draft season with 12 draft picks at its disposal, and therefore plenty of resources to get the team’s average age down and continue to build the foundation for years to come. And while it remains to be seen who will eventually end up with the Patriots during the draft’s seven rounds and subsequent free agency period, there are plenty of intriguing candidates available.

With that said, this story stream should help you get a better look at who New England might be interested in at its main positions of need — from wide receiver and tight end, to quarterback, to the defensive front seven and the kicker spot: we have compiled all of our in-depth draft profiles in here. Enjoy!
