The Seattle Seahawks shocked not only their own fans, but observers across the league as well when they selected linebacker Jordyn Brooks out of Texas Tech in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. At a position group that already has future Hall of Famer Bobby Wagner, as well as K.J. Wright and 2019 third round pick Cody Barton, it is certainly a pick that raises eyebrows. That said, it’s a pick that fits what the Seahawks do and what they look for from a player, so while fans may not love the selection, the team certainly seems to.

Friday evening the team continued building its 2020 rookie class, but they weren’t content to just sit tight at pick 59, trading up to 48 to select Darrell Taylor out of Tennessee in the second round. This is what the Seahawks draft class looks like as of this moment:

  • Round 1, Pick 27: Jordyn Brooks, LB Texas Tech
  • Round 2, Pick 48: Darrell Taylor, EDGE Tennessee
  • Round 2, Pick 64
  • Round 4, Pick 133
  • Round 4, Pick 144
  • Round 6, Pick 214

How do you grade the selection of Darrell Taylor?
