The Washington Redskins welcome the newest member of the family, Chase Young, after making him the 2nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Redskins have made their pick and Ohio State DE Chase Young is the newest member of the Washington Redskins! He has been linked to the Redskins since the end of their dreadful 3-13 season last year. Young is considered by many to be the best overall prospect in this year’s draft, and now he will be joining a Redskins defensive front that is full of 1st round picks.

We have been covering the endless speculation surrounding the #2 overall pick, and the possibilities to trade down from it to acquire multiple high picks. While there was some interest from a few teams, no one blew Ron Rivera away with their offer. They stood pat and got the guy rated highest on their board.

The Redskins are done for tonight unless there is another surprise trade up like last year when the team traded two 2nds to jump back into the 1st round to draft EDGE Montez Sweat. The Redskins are also still actively shopping LT Trent Williams who is expected to bring at least a Day 2 pick this year. As of right now the Redskins next pick will be the 2nd pick in the 3rd round(#66) tomorrow night.

Welcome to Washington Chase Young, and HTTR!
