Prestigious top 100 NFL players’ list features three LA Rams players
The national narrative around the Rams is that they have lost too many players this offseason.
There is no denying that the Rams have seen a lot of players leave including running back Todd Gurley, receiver Brandin Cooks, pass rusher Dante Fowler, safety Eric Weddle and linebacker Cory Littleton. But on Wednesday, we saw proof that any thoughts that the Rams are depleted of quality talent is incorrect.
In his annual top 100 players list, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has three Rams players on his list, leading of course, with defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey and wide receiver Cooper Kupp are also on Prisco’s Top 100, while receiver Robert Woods made Prisco’s “just missed” list.

The Rams’ representation begins with Donald, who Prisco has listed as the No. 2 overall player in the NFL.
Wow.
Prisco had Donald second only to Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes as the best player in the NFL.
It’s not surprising. Donald must be in any top 10 NFL list and should very likely be in any top five list. Prisco believes Donald is the best defensive player in the NFL and it’s difficult to argue with him.
Ramsey is ranked No. 26th Prisco’s list. That shows why the Rams gave up two first-round picks to get Ramsey from Jacksonville. The key is for the Rams to extend his contract, which is a focal point for the organization.
Kupp is No. 97 on Prisco’s list. He had a huge season in 2019 after suffering a major injury in 2018. Kupp has the availability to move up this list as well. Like Ramsey, Kupp is a candidate for a new contract.
While this may be a time of transition for the Rams, this list shows that there is still top-level talent on the roster.
