What position group did the Cowboys improve most this offseason?
DiNucci has the unique quality that enables him to make plays outside of structure. Though he was playing against lesser competition in the FCS while at James Madison, DiNucci had a Houdini-like ability to elude pressure and make plays happen with his arm and feet. DiNucci also displays impressive touch on deep balls with a natural ability to make accurate throws from varying arm angles, which helps him fit passes around defenders and into tight windows.
While it appeared unlikely Rush would ever develop into a tradable asset, DiNucci has the type of skill set that could garner future trade interest — similar to how the Panthers recently turned undrafted Kyle Allen into a 2020 fifth-round pick in a trade with Washington.
Including quarterback on this list is interesting because if everything goes according to plan in 2020 (AKA Prescott stays healthy), the offseason improvement at the position will only be observable during the preseason. A healthy Prescott means Dalton and DiNucci don’t see the field (outside of garbage time in a blowout) during the regular season.

Joe Looney brings more to the table than just his play on the field.
Looney, who has also played games for the Cowboys at guard, started at center in 2018 when Frederick was sidelined with Guillain-Barre syndrome. While most hoped he was just keeping the position occupied until Frederick could return, his next opportunity could prove to be as a long-term place in the starting lineup, and playing behind and with Frederick is an advantage he holds in any position battle. "We've had some great centers here in the past, and Travis set a standard for me when I first got here," Looney said. "Him, Zack, Tyron, LC, the way these guys work just makes you want to be better at your craft."
Make no doubt about it, Looney is in the NFL because of apparent skill, but he's been particularly valued on the Cowboys for his ability to stay ready to contribute and his energetic optimism no matter the circumstances. The moods around the Dallas Cowboys have been high and low since Looney joined the team in 2016, but throughout it all he could be found smiling in the locker room or dancing on the practice field during warm-ups.
So, even as a potential starter, Looney knows that the Dallas Cowboys are an organization that appreciates him for what he provides as a person. So if Tyler Biadasz, the center Dallas selected in the fourth round of last month's draft, expected the veteran cold shoulder from Looney, he should be relieved to know he'll be getting an energetic mentor.

The third-year tight end will need to prove himself this season.
Despite entering Year 3 and being the only TE to be drafted on the Cowboys current roster, Dalton Schultz could very well be looking down the barrel of a loaded gun. Blake Jarwin was re-signed to replace Jason Witten as the starter and Blake Bell was added via free agency to likely become his primary backup. That could leave Schultz left out in the cold once again.
To date, Schultz has primarily been a depth player with the Dallas Cowboys. He did climb as high as the TE2 for a brief time in the latter part of 2018 after Geff Swaim went down with an injury, but his opportunities and playing time has been few and far between. As such, he’s still a bit of an unknown and with the new coaching staff that could be a good or bad thing.

If fans cannot attend NFL games, the Cowboys will lose out in a big way.
According to Forbes.com, those two teams could potentially lose out on more than $300 million each in stadium revenue if the NFL doesn't allow fans to attend games this year. On the Cowboys' end, the team could end up losing out on more than $600 million. That's more than half a billion if you're scoring at home. Overall, all NFL teams combined would stand to lose out on at least $5.5 billion of stadium revenue, which includes everything from tickets to concessions to sponsors to parking to the team merchandise sold inside the stadium.
The NFL's most recent stadium revenue numbers come from 2018, which was a year where the Cowboys pulled in $621 million, which represented a whopping 65.4% of their of their total revenue ($950 million). During their 10 homes games, the Cowboys pulled in nearly double what the next closest team pulled in. With those numbers coming from 2018, it's safe to say that the Cowboys would miss out on even more revenue since the stadium number would likely be even higher for the 2020 season.

Dallas linebacker Leighton Vander Esch does not see much of a different role in 2020.
On having Sean Lee back for another year...Vander Esch: “Finding out that he was coming back to play another year after this past season put a huge smile on my face. When I found that out, I was so pumped. It’s just so valuable having a guy like him in the room not just for his ability with football and his knowledge, but just the person he is. I think it’s contagious, the way he prepares, the way he carries himself and it makes younger players want to be just like that. That’s the guy you want to be.
"The dude has dealt with pretty much every single bit of adversity he could possibly deal with as his career went on and look at him now. He stayed healthy the whole season last season, played good football for us and he has that intangible way he goes about things. You can’t replace that. The fact that you get that for a whole other year, I absolutely love it. I love the guy and I’m just excited to play football with him again.”

ICYMI.....Aldon Smith has been reinstated by the NFL.
Virtual offseason programs have been going on across the NFL for a bit now and Smith is officially eligible to take place in them.
The Cowboys saw Robert Quinn leave in free agency and will be looking to get contribution from Smith in 2020, and hopefully from Randy Gregory as well (who’s reinstatement remains to be seen). Dallas also drafted Bradlee Anae in the fifth round so they have options along the edge.
