Weekend Open Thread

Good Morning!

How’s your weekend going? Normally I’d spend the weekend doing stuff outside (away from everyone else, duh) but this is my weekend to work so I’ll be inside all weekend. The hurricane season is starting early with development of a subtropical system of our coast, we could use the rain but I doubt we’ll have any meaningful impact. I think I read yesterday that clubs can start opening up their facilities for players requiring rehab, I’ll look and see if I can find that information. I almost forgot that the Bundesliga is having matches this weekend, I’d post the table butnobodycaresbutmesoiwont. Meanwhile we’ll carry on with our news and links full of crockpot recipes, nap strategies and beer recommendations; drop by for some fan wisdom, snark and have a great weekend.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris notes: The NFL listed their Top 25 defensive touchdowns of 2019 and still missed a couple.

League News:

Consistent with the weekend thread, I’ll post league news in the comments section.

We come to today’s media selection: “Weird” Al Yankovic - Amish Paradise

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to wash your hands, don’t touch your waiter’s face and Welcome Aboard!

No Covid 19 discussions.
