- Baker Mayfield will bounce back in 2020 (NFL.com) - Baker Mayfield is entering what could be a make-or-break season playing for his fourth different head coach and offensive coordinator since joining the Cleveland Browns as the first overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. The circumstances are not ideal, but I believe the third-year pro is positioned to enjoy the best season of his career in an offense that should help him bounce back from a disappointing sophomore campaign.
- JC Tretter urges others to speak out against racism (Beacon Journal) - Browns starting center JC Tretter believes silence is unacceptable as protesters gather throughout the nation to speak out against the death of George Floyd.
- Jadeveon Clowney Shouldn’t Pass on Chance to Play with Myles Garrett, Browns (Bleacher Report) - Everyone can understand why Jadeveon Clowney might not want to go to Cleveland. The Browns? Why would he want to play for them? But Cleveland is arguably the best landing spot for the 27-year-old defensive end.
- Ex-Indianapolis Colts GM Ryan Grigson joins Cleveland Browns’ staff as top adviser (ESPN) - Former Colts general manager Ryan Grigson was hired Friday as a senior adviser for the Cleveland Browns, reuniting with general manager Andrew Berry. Berry, a first-time GM and the NFL’s youngest, has now filled out his front office in four months.

- Broncos Hall of Fame running back Floyd Little diagnosed with cancer (The Denver Post) - Broncos Hall of Fame running back Floyd Little has been diagnosed with cancer, a former teammate told the Syracuse Post-Standard. Pat Killorin, who played with Little at Syracuse, said the 77-year-old is fighting a treatable, but aggressive form of cancer.
- Miami Dolphins players already impressed with Tua Tagovailoa (The Palm Beach Post) - One of the first things Tua Tagovailoa did after he was drafted by the Dolphins was ask media relations and player engagement officials for the phone numbers of his new teammates. Despite national championship success at Alabama, teammates and coaches spoke of his humility as well. It appears Tagovailoa has made a positive impression.
- Ranking the NFL’s most efficient wide receivers from 2019 (PFF) - Wide receiver production can be summed up in just a few box-score statistics: receptions, yardage and touchdowns. But while that might give you an indication of a wideout’s broad production, what about how efficient they were in amassing those statistics? Efficiency metrics for wide receivers provide a better indicator of which players can repeat those box-score data points going forward and which are likely to see a regression in their overall production.
- Now is the moment to sign Colin Kaepernick (CNN) - When I was an executive in the National Football League a few years ago, our organization was consumed by the case of Colin Kaepernick, the quarterback whose silent kneeling protest against police brutality arguably led him to lose his NFL career and not be re-signed by any club. No teams wanted to sign a player — even one as talented as Kaepernick — whom they saw as controversial, and, therefore, bad for business.
