Thor’s UDFA Class Rankings - Rotoworld
5) The Eagles graded out well in my system by combining high-quality signings with a bunch of calculated dart-throws, including the signing of former Arizona dual-threat quarterback Khalil Tate to give a receiver transition a spin in camp. The headliners are Cincy RB Michael Warren, Michigan State DL Raequan Williams, Montana LB Dante Olson and Baylor DB Grayland Arnold, all borderline draftable guys. Warren runs like a sock of rocks but has cement shoes… it’ll be interesting to see if he can carve out a Fat Robb career. I like Raequan’s shot of sticking around. He doesn’t rush the passer, but he’s long, he’s versatile, and he brings his lunch pail against the run. Feels like a long-term swing backup type. [BLG Note: The Dallas Cowboys rank No. 1.]

Study shows how the NFL has been hurting the Eagles and giving the Cowboys an unfair advantage - BGN
Obviously, rest advantages aren’t everything when it comes to winning football games. It’s not like teams at the top of the table such as the Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a lot of success in the last 10 years. The Eagles won a Super Bowl while being disadvantaged while the Cowboys haven’t even made it the past the Divisional Round since January 1996. But that kind of results-over-process-oriented thinking shouldn’t prevent the NFL from trying to fix their inequality issue. Who’s to say the Eagles couldn’t have been even more successful if they weren’t at a significant disadvantage while a division rival was receiving one of the strongest benefits of unfair scheduling? And, as BGN’s John Stolnis astutely noted, what if the Eagles’ relative lack of rest has contributed to their injury issues?

Eagles mailbag: How many NFL quarterbacks would you take over Carson Wentz? - PhillyVoice
Just for 2020, I’d take the following quarterbacks over Wentz: Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs ... Russell Wilson, Seahawks ... Lamar Jackson, Ravens ... Aaron Rodgers, Packers ... Drew Brees, Saints ... Maybe Deshaun Watson, Texans. I think it’s really close between Wentz and Watson. Call that one a toss up. So he’s either my sixth- or seventh-best quarterback, right now, in the NFL. [...] So from the long-term perspective, I’d have Wentz as the fourth-most appealing quarterback in the NFL, behind Mahomes, Russ, and Lamar.

Is the Eagles offense better now than it was a year ago? - The Athletic
Finally, we come to the position that’s attracted so much attention over the past two years: wide receiver. I believe the reason for optimism there has as much to do with a needed shift in philosophy that disrupted an organizational complacency as it does with personnel changes. Knowing the offense needed a consistent spark last offseason, the Eagles’ answer was to bring back DeSean Jackson — a speed threat, no doubt, but also a then-32-year-old with an injury history. And even supporters of second-round pick JJ Arcega-Whiteside would have acknowledged a year ago that he didn’t possess the kind of speed that would affect the offense’s shape. This offseason, the Eagles finally confronted their bog reality. This is not to naively profess that all of Marquise Goodwin, John Hightower and Quez Watkins will make an impact or even make the roster. But compared to last year at this time, the Eagles have options, and the pieces fit better together.

Eagles salary cap expert offers much-needed context of cap situation - NBCSP
When we talk about issues of salary cap management, there’s this idea that the Eagles and Roseman can simply manipulate things to make whatever they want work. But it’s not that easy. The Eagles’ ability to manage their salary cap is a product of not just ingenuity; it’s also a product of immense planning. While you can ding the organization in other areas, cap management is one where they’re pretty darn good. “That’s our job, to figure it out,” Rosenberg said. “Howie says that all the time, ‘figure it out.’ It’s not enough to just throw your hands up and say ‘oh, we have a problem here.’ No, what’s the solution? Let’s figure it out and let’s move on.”

Strength in trenches and at QB give Eagles edge in NFC East - PE.com
So, in these unique times as the Eagles continue on in their virtual offseason, we all try to predict how the season will play out and how the NFC East will look with three teams welcoming in new head coaches. The Eagles have the experienced hand in Pederson and they have the best combination of offensive line/defensive line/quarterback in the division. That’s the formula that wins games, and while the global pandemic has presented unimaginable hardships far beyond the sport of football, the Eagles are navigating the landscape as well as can be expected.

NFL announces teams can re-open club facilities as early as May 19th - DraftKings Nation
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent a memo to the 32 clubs informing them they are allowed to start re-opening their facilities as early as next Tuesday, May 19th. Re-opening depends in part on governing state and local regulation, and coaches and players are not allowed back yet. The one exception is currently rehabbing players, who have already been allowed to work at the team’s facility.
