Good question. The gaps are there to define lanes that the defense needs to fill. The techniques are how the DL aligns. Alignment and gap assignment can be different. A DT aligning as a 3 technique, or in the B gap, could be stunting into the A gap, so you need terms for both https://t.co/q0IZrMICyJ

There’s only so much the interior DL can do. Run defense is a team effort and requires everyone in their gaps. Allen, Payne and Ioannidis did a damn good job up front, but that needs to be backed up with support on the edge, LBs reading correctly and even DBs filling in. https://t.co/fKZvSsyoOz

Settle flashed a few nice plays last year, but he’s not anywhere near the level of Payne, Allen or Ioannidis. He’s a very nice back up NT option to have behind Payne, but to trade away anyone and promote him would be silly. Having depth on the DL is a good thing. https://t.co/NPd9Yrcgfv

My bad here, got AGG and Gibson mixed up. AGG and Harmon are direct competition. Think AGG’s skill set with his ability to track the ball down the field would lend him more favourably to this system than Harmon, on paper.

Safety is pretty set I’d imagine, Davis at FS, Collins SS. I think Kendall Fuller plays outside in base but kicks inside in nickel. I’m guessing Darby starts at one spot and perhaps Moreland comes in and plays outside to let Fuller cover the slot in Nickel. https://t.co/JOkDCxozHu

I think Shadiq Charles has the most talent of any of the LTs on the roster. So I’d imagine he’s the guy barring a terrible training camp or something. https://t.co/OWamcXx8N7
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) June 16, 2020
Haskins certainly has the talent to be the guy. I don’t think anyone can say at this stage he definitely is or isn’t the guy. If they’re in a spot to draft Lawrence next year, Haskins probably hasn’t played well. At that point, the new staff as a chance to get their own guy. https://t.co/d861HOZDCL

I don’t think AGG and Harmon are fighting for reps. They’re very different guys. I can see Sims and AGG splitting time in the slot and backfield, but I can also see both getting on the field at the same time. Will be very interesting to see if Sims gets some time at the Z spot. https://t.co/mVImygbEN5

Out of the draft I thought his mental processing was one of his best traits, certainly when on script. I think I overlooked footwork and mechanics too much. That’s a significant issue he needs to improve on, which I think Zampese will help with. https://t.co/ujtBAjnNSd

My favorite detail in the 113-page health-and-safety protocol for Orlando shared with teams in past several minutes: No doubles in ping pong. "Until directed otherwise by the NBA, players should play singles only so that they can maintain six feet of distance from each other."
