Camp Garoppolo is officially underway in Nashville.
The pandemic has forced NFL teams to cancel offseason workouts, but it hasn’t stopped the San Francisco 49ers’ offense from getting together in Nashville.
There are 15 Niners who made the trip to join quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in Music City. Here is the full list, thanks to @limajuliettango on Twitter:

I don’t know about you, but I was just happy to see the players together on the field. NFL teams aren’t allowed to workout at their facilities due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but the league has said it is still moving forward with 2020 training camps as scheduled.
The Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers will be the first two teams to report, with their camps slated to begin on July 22. As it stands now, the 49ers will be among the 28 teams who will begin their camp on July 28.
Positive coronavirus cases are still going up in a number of states across the country, including California. The NFL will surely keep an eye on the numbers before committing to a specific plan to kick-off the 2020 season.
Either way, this is still nice to see. Garoppolo and the gang are showing their commitment to win a championship. Hopefully they will get the opportunity to do so!
On to some links:
Dre Greenlaw was a pleasant surprise on the Niners’ defense last season. NBC Bay Area’s Doug Williams says the fifth-round pick is ready to build off of his strong rookie year.
Who is the the most underrated player on the stacked 49ers’ defense? SI’s Grant Cohn says it is a member of the secondary.
General manager John Lynch will have some tough decisions make after the 2020 season. 49ers Web Zone’s Gilbert Brink gives his list of five players the Niners should move on from next offseason.
San Francisco didn’t commit to any big name free agents this offseason, but there definitely have been some big whiffs by the 49ers in the past. Clutch Points’ Greg Patuto ranks the five-worst free agent signings in Niners history.
When will Lynch be signed to an extension? Fansided’s Justin Fried looks into why the GM wasn’t given a new contract at the same time as head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The expectations are high for Jalen Hurd, even though the 2019 draft pick never got on the field last season. Allan McBride of 49ers Web Zone looks into how Hurd can help the 49ers’ offense be better next year.
