Giants will thus be in East Rutherford for camp

NFL teams have been told that they will have to hold training camps at their team facilities this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There had been some discussion that the New York Giants might have to hold training camp away from their East Rutherford, N.J. facility. Now we know that won’t be the case. Whenever training camp is held the Giants will, as they have been the past several years, at their home facility.

The Giants, of course, have everything they need there. The facility includes 3½ practice fields and an indoor practice bubble. What we don’t know is whether or not training camp practices will include fans. NFL.com says “it wasn’t likely many fans were going to be able to attend anyway.”

Adam Schefter is also reporting that teams will not be allowed to hold joint practices this summer. There had been some discussion that the Giants and Tennessee Titans, with head coaches in Joe Judge and Mike Vrabel who are familiar with each other from their days with the New England Patriots, might hold joint workouts prior to their schedule Aug. 22 preseason game in Tennessee.
