According to The Baltimore Sun’s Aaron Wilson, the Indianapolis Colts are working out a number of running backs including Javon Leake, Taquan Mizzell, Khalfani Muhammad, C.J. Prosise, Cameron Scarlett, and Jordan Scarlett:

The biggest name on this list is former 3rd round pick, C.J. Prosise, who was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2016 out of Notre Dame. The 6’1”, 225 pound running back at times looked the part as a rookie (with a 5.7 ypc. avg on 30 carries) but a number of injuries have derailed his once promising early career.
Otherwise, former Florida Gator Jordan Scarlett is another name that jumps out as a 2019 5th round pick of the Carolina Panthers. The 5’11”, 208 pound back isn’t a spectacular athlete, but he’s a grinder, who runs hard, physical, and tough between the tackles.
It’s interesting that all of the players the Colts are working out are running backs.
The Colts released fullback Roosevelt Nix on Monday, and some have speculated that it was a move to safely secure a roster spot for ‘4th-string’ running back Jordan Wilkins—who’s more talented than his current position on the Indy depth chart indicates.
The Colts don’t really need another running back right now, but perhaps this is a move to kick the tires on potential insurance policies—should one of their top four backs get hurt throughout the course of the 2020 regular season.
