The 2018 third round pick for the Denver Broncos is headed to the New York Giants for a seventh round pick.

According to Ryan O’Halloran of The Denver Post, the Denver Broncos are trading Isaac Yiadom to the New York Giants for a 2021 seventh round pick.

A third round pick in 2018, Yiadom played in 29 games over the last two seasons. After starting week 1 of the 2019 season, he was benched in favor of De’Vante Bausby and then Davontae Harris. Injuries in the secondary helped him to find his way back into the starting lineup at the end of the year, but he was locked in a battle for playing time early in camp. It did not sound like Fangio was impressed.

“Just to improve in all facets of the game,” Fangio said on August 18th. “Obviously, job number one of a corner is the ability to cover. We want to see improvement there. Corners have to tackle in this league in the run game. He has to improve there and just overall awareness of what we’re doing on defense and understanding his position and how it relates to what we’re doing. I think if he can achieve those things, he’s off to a good start and will be a major factor in our defense.”

The move means the Broncos battle for CB3 behind A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan is down to De’Vante Bausby and Davontae Harris. Broncos’ insider Benjamin Allbright considers it Bausby’s job to lose.
