In a week-to-week league, this is a week-to-week headache for fantasy enthusiasts

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of trying to start running backs playing with Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady in your fantasy football leagues you’ll feel this article a bit more than those who haven’t had the pleasure.

Actually, if you’ve tried to rely on just about any skill-position player running with Brady, you’ve definitely felt the frustration of Ronald Jones II and Leonard Fournette owners in the 2020 NFL Season.

For a few weeks, those with Jones on the roster could breathe a sigh of relief as he dominated touches as Fournette dealt with his latest play-restricting injury. In those weeks, Jones gave you high-end RB2 production while being the fourth-overall running back in PPR leagues for Week 6.

Then came Week 7 and the return of Fournette which sent Jones tumbling down to the bottom rungs of RB2 category while the former Jaguars star sat near the top of the same grouping.

So, which running back should you trust in Week 8 against the New York Giants? Well, if history shows anything you can count on Jones getting first crack on Monday Night Football to put up some points.

This head start will help out immensely for Jones owners if he can put together a solid drive. Whether it’s for your league, weekly, or daily fantasy games, getting this pick right could make all the difference, and according to Sports Betting Dime Jones (-233) is favored over Fournette (+400) to get the most combined touches between runs and receptions.

Some other options for which Bucs player will have the most combined touches are Mike Evans (+1000), Scotty Miller (+6000), and the ever-popular ‘Field’ selection (+3000).

When both Rojo and Fournette play, they’ve flip-flopped who is the better option in fantasy football and in the prop bet sections.

In Week 1, Jones led the way. Then, against the Panthers it was the real Fournette debut. Week 3 in Denver was Jones’ game again, followed by last week’s solid performance for Fournette against the Raiders.

If history holds, then Jones is the man to lean on if you’re looking to start one in your fantasy games or bet on which Bucs player will lead the team in combined touches. And that’s about the best advice we can give using history as a gauge heading into the Week 8 match-up between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants.
