Mike Vrabel said at his press conference today that Marcus Mariota suffered a stinger in yesterday’s game. Vrabel was pretty adamant that Mariota did not suffer a re-injury to his elbow. This is really good news because, typically speaking, it should be a quicker recovery from a stinger (considering it took the better part of 6 weeks for him to full recover from the elbow injury he suffered in Miami).
The other good piece of information from Vrabel’s press conference is that everything was good with Dean Pees after he went to the hospital. He is on his way back from Indianapolis today. Vrabel said Pees wanted to come to the facility today but Vrabel told him to go home and rest. Pees will work “banker’s hours” this week according to Vrabel.
Jim Wyatt asked Vrabel if something like that was unprecedented before yesterday. Vrabel responded with “a lot of things have been unprecedented about this season.” That’s so very true.
