The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially cut veteran running back Carlos Hyde, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The #Jaguars have released RB Carlos Hyde, source said, a player they acquired via trade last year.

Hyde was a bit disappointing last season. Some of that is on his offensive line being backups of backups of backups, some of that is on one of the worst passing games in the league, and some of it is on him.
With a fifth round investment (and a depleted running backs room) it’s surprising the Jaguars didn’t just keep him for at least training camp — but it looks as though the team is going a different direction in free agency and the NFL Draft this year.
He finished his career in Jacksonville with just 189 yards on the ground in eight games and a paltry 3.3 yards per rush.
