Probably
We’ve gotten our second injury report of the week for the Minnesota Vikings as they prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles, and there was one pretty significant addition on Thursday, but one that we probably don’t need to be too worried about.
Wide receiver Adam Thielen stayed home from practice on Thursday with what the team has classified as an illness. He wasn’t on the report on Wednesday, so hopefully he’s just come down with some sort of 24-hour crud or something. I don’t think we need to worry about it too much.
Shockingly, Thielen missing practice on Thursday did not immediately trigger speculation that he wanted to be traded. Strange, that.
As expected, Linval Joseph returned to practice on Thursday after getting a veteran day off on Wednesday.
Here’s a recap of the full injury report:
Did Not Participate
- LB Ben Gedeon (concussion)
- G Josh Kline (foot)
- WR Adam Thielen (illness, not listed on Wednesday)
Limited Participation
- CB Mackensie Alexander (elbow/groin)
- C Garrett Bradbury (shoulder, not listed on Wednesday)
- LB Kentrell Brothers (wrist/hamstring)
Full Participation
- DT Linval Joseph (non-injury, upgrade from DNP)
- TE Irv Smith Jr. (quad)
- DT Shamar Stephen (knee)
The Vikings had originally listed Bradbury as not having practiced, but they amended the report later on.
It might be time to start getting a little worried about Kline, who has been a real difference-maker up front for the Vikings’ offensive line thus far. We’ll have to see how much work, if any, he does on Friday.
That’s a look at the Thursday injury report for the Vikings, folks. The final injury report for the week will be out sometime tomorrow, and we’ll have it here for you whenever it drops.
