Unclear what his role will be.
The Giants interviewed Kitchens for their offensive coordinator position back on January 9th, before ultimately hiring Jason Garrett. Judge and Kitchen previously worked together at Mississippi State, where Judge was a graduate assistant and Kitchens was the tight ends and running backs coach.
Tuesday also saw reports that Jerome Henderson, Brett Bielema, and Jody Wright to their coaching staff. While Henderson will be the Giants’ defensive backs coach, the roles of Wright, Bielema, and Kitchens have yet to be defined. Bielema will likely be on the defensive side of the ball — he was considered for the Giants’ defensive coordinator job and coached the New England Patriots’ defensive line this past year.
Wright, like Kitchens, has previously been a running backs and tight ends coach.
